GeoCV Helps To View Your Apartment In 3D

What is GeoCV ?

Everyone goes to apartment hunting every once in a while but isn’t it really tiring work to travel and check out each apartment.  So there comes GeoCV in the picture to make our work little bit easier and help us. The New York based startup helps you to view your apartment in virtual 3D with its cutting edge 3d technology and is already helping various real estate businesses.

How does it work?

Their system includes mobile app for 3D scanning and cloud processor for creating the 3D model. Later the model is visible in 3D viewing software, SketchFab 3D. One can view the final model with the help of Google Cardboard and other VR systems. One can view from any angle regardless of jumping room to room. They also provide feature to see full layout without using overhead view.

More about the company

The company is backed by four venture capitals which also includes Rothenberg Ventures, an active investor for virtual reality startups. The founders of GeoCV are Anton Yakubenko and Gleb Krivovyaz. They both have PhDs from the Graphics & Media Lab at Moscow State University. They are also part of Starta Accelerator in New York.

It has raised $700,000 as of now from its investors and is planning to launch usable product soon by next year. Till then one can view its virtual apartment on their website and click the various label and view bedroom, kitchen. Get even a closer look at the walls, carpets.
