What is MOTI?

Science has developed so much that there are new innovative gadgets for almost every problem. Now, there is a new gadget called MOTI which is a personal smart life coach and helps you to develop good habits and motivates you. The product is developed by San Francisco-based startup called MOTI Inc. The founders of MOTI are Kayla Matheus and Laura Day.

What can one do with MOTI?

MOTI isn’t just some wearable device but a small compact desk piece which would be working with an app connected through Bluetooth. From the app itself one can engage into new habit, study about your motivational profile and look up your data and much more.

Specs

The device is available in three attractive colors like turquoise, dark grey and light grey, and has dimension 2.5 X 2.5 X 3.25 inch. Every time, you meet a set target, MOTI lights up, makes noise and gives rewards as a token. These features can be customized as per one’s needs. In order to charge MOTI is charged using micro-USB and connects to your mobile devices wirelessly.

Idea behind MOTI

The idea behind this invention came up when Kayla Matheus wanted to solve a problem in her own life to form habit of physical therapy at home itself.45 % of our daily routine is comprised of habits.Matheus believes that if one can know them, theycan limit the bad habits and form good oneseasily. Matheus and Laura Day took up habit loop as source inspiration for this device. The habit loop process involves three steps- trigger, routine, and rewards.

The campaign for this device is now live on Kickstarter and will be available in market by July 2017.
